Lash Extensions Patient Care Instructions
Pre-Treatment Instructions
Avoid wearing waterproof mascara two day prior to your appointment.
Stop using growth serum 48 hours prior to your lash appointment.
Arrive with clean lashes. RMA cannot guarantee the results or retention of your eyelash extensions if you arrive at your appointment with makeup on your lid or eyelashes.
Avoid that second cup of caffeine or energy drink prior to your appointment. It is important that your eyes remain calm during your appointment.
Please remove contact lenses before your lash appointment. Bring glasses with you.
If you spray tan, ensure there is no residual product on your lashes.
Post Care Instructions.
Sleep on your back or sides to avoid losing extensions.
Cleanse your lashes and brush them daily after 48 hours following your appointment to maintain clean and healthy lashes using lash cleanser formulated for lash extensions.
All skincare and makeup products from the eyebrow to the eyelid must be oil free. Including primer, foundation, sunscreen, eye cream, cream eyeshadow, setting spray etc. Remove your makeup using oil free makeup remover.
Growth Serum is okay to use with your lifted natural lashes. However, you may see faster turn-over of your natural lashes and you may therefore want to return sooner for a follow-up lash lift.
Things to avoid
Avoid hot steam or any heat on the face
Avoid touching your lashes. Touching (picking, pulling, rubbing) your lashes loosens the adhesive bond through friction and oil contamination. Additionally, you risk losing your natural lashes by pulling or rubbing them.
Avoid wearing mascara while wearing lash extensions.
Avoid curling your lashes
Post-treatment symptoms
Red, puffy eyes, itchiness, and swelling may be signs of an allergy to the adhesive, but symptoms vary from person to person. In the case of allergies, symptoms will last until the adhesive is removed, and can worsen with time and exposure.
