What is Dermal filler?
Injectable filler is a Hyaluronic acid, a sugar that is naturally found in the body, and is injected into the skin at different depths to help fill in facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features such as lip, jaw, chin, tcheeks, and more. These fillers are temporary as they are eventually absorbed by the body. We use Allergan’s Juvéderm and Galderma’s Restylane products.
What areas can i get filler in?
You can treat nearly any area with filler. The common areas are the lips, cheeks, jaw, chin, tear trough, temples, cheek hollows, etc. If you are interested in multiple areas, we require a consultation to give you a proper assessment and quote.
How long do fillers last?
The duration for fillers depends on the type of filler and volume used. For most clients, results are maintained for an average of 12 months.
what is the downtime after a filler treatment?
These are some things to keep in mind if you are considering filler or have been treated with filler.
You may have bruising and swelling that can last 3-5 days.
Avoid touching and rubbing the treated area, exaggerated facial expressions, make-up usage and skin care products for 12-24 hours.
Avoid excessive sun exposure or extreme temperatures and minimize strenuous activities for 24 hours after treatment.
It is recommended that no non-urgent dental procedures be performed and NO VACCINES of any kind may be administered for 2 weeks before or following treatment. Please take this into consideration when booking.
Am I a good candidate?
People who are in good physical health and do not have any underlying health conditions that could affect healing are generally considered suitable candidates.
