BIOTE

What is BioTe or BioIdentical Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Bioidentical Replacement Hormone Therapy (BioTe) is ideal for patients desiring the benefits of a natural hormone without the drawbacks of a synthetic. BioTe hormones are plant-based and biologically identical to human hormones. The goal of hormone pellet replacement therapy in women and men is to restore natural hormone balance.

How often do you need replacement pellets?

We typically perform treatments every 3 months for women and every 5-6 months for men.

Is blood work required before and/or after insertion?

Blood work is required before the initial insertion.  A recheck of the hormone levels is done 4-6 weeks after the first pellet insertion only. Following this, we do a full panel of blood work about once a year.

Is this procedure covered by insurance?

We do not accept health insurance, but you can use HSA and sometimes FSA funds to cover the cost.

Am I a good candidate?

Common symptoms of a hormone imbalance that would benefit from pellet therapy include mood swings, fatigue, weight fluctuation, sleeping troubles, and decreased libido. These usually appear in middle age but can appear earlier or later. To be sure you’re a good candidate, we require a consultation appointment with one of our practitioners. There is a $75 consultation fee that is taken at the time of the appointment booking and retained.
